Small Diner with great food and awesome service. The place was very clean and observing all Covid measures.

I have been here many times and it is ALWAYS great. Their roast beef is very tender and very good. Maybe you might have to wait a little bit but when you taste their food you won't mind! This is a must "go to" place!

We thought we should try something new. Reviews were good. Gave it a try, curtains to separate people were in place. Staff was friendly. But then we waited about 50 minutes for our order. The waitress didn’t bother to check on us, might have been because no one was getting food and she didn’t want to get yelled at? The guy next to us said a year ago he could come in, order and the food would be there within 10 minutes. He left without waiting for his food. Waitress made fun of him to whomever was within earshot. Food finally came, it was good and hot. My daughter said it was a great egg sandwich, but not sure if it was that good or if she was that hungry from waiting?Can’t say I would try it again.

I work not to far from this place and have been meaning to try it. I finally came in about a month ago and loved it. The staff is extremely friendly and seem to know the regulars by name and were even asking questions about their families. (I love places that have staff that actually care about their customers). The food is your basic dinner food. I have only tried the biscuits and gravy but would love to come back for lunch. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Crowded if you don't get there before the lunch rush but Soo worth the wait. Our favorite is the Dagwood sandwich. Nice setting and good food really reminiscent of an old time diner.

The "meatloaf " special on Friday is terrific!

Delicious pork tenderloin sandwich and mushroom burger. Fast service, friendly and efficient staff. Omelets looked fantastic, will have to try one on the next visit.

Fast, good and a decent price. No frills. I love the biscuts and gravy!

The beans are made with drippings from beef Barbacoa instead of lard and they are unbelievably good. I'm guessing that the yelp listing says that this is New Mexican cuisine because of these flat NM style enchiladas, but it's definitely southern Mexican cuisine. One indication of this is their tamales that are cooked in banana leaves rather than corn husks, which are usually softer and moister.

This is my Saturday morning breakfast go to. The half ham breakfast is amazing. Emphasis on ham.

If you like a good burger or breakfast for lunch, Dagwoods is your place. One of the best old fashioned diners in KC.

Dagwood is always a solid go to for lunch and breakfast. Their food is great especially for the prices they charge. 10/10 recommend.

Nice small town diner feel when you walk in. The place is relatively small, staff is friends, and service pretty quick. The biscuits and gravy meal is delicious! Good homemade sausage patties, crispy hash browns and eggs cooked perfectly to order.

Hometown enviorment really loved by the morning coffee lovers. Very clean home cooked meals for breakfast and lunch. It gives you the feel of the local little diner that you see in the movies! I highly recommend you check this cafe out!

Great traditional diner with cheap fairs, quick eats, and kind service! I always love a classic diner breakfast, and this place did not disappoint. Get a waffle – they’re absolutely incredible!

Quant place. Very retro. Good food. Reasonable prices. Tenderloin was delicious as were the onion rings. Hubby had the BLT. Said it would have been perfect if the bread had not been toasted. Excellent service.

Nice 1950s hole in the wall diner, don't find too many of these anymore. The atmosphere is quaint and the staff is excellent. I see reviews complaining about the coffee but you know what this isn't Starbucks so take that attitude somewhere else and be humble like this little hole in the wall gem.

This is a great greasy spoon diner. It's probably our most visited restaurant in KC. Try the Biscuits and Gravy Special.

What a little Gem! The staffs are all so nice and kind! Very good food! We had country fried steak and it was so very well seasoned. The biscuits are amazing and so soft and delicious! So happy to have found this place !

Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. I'm a big fan of biscuits and gravy and theirs is top notch. I was told the rest of the food at our table was delicious. It was a very busy morning when we were there so there was a bit of a wait. It was totally worth it.

Service was very poor. Must have a new Cook or New Kitchen staff, it took them a whole one hour to get our breakfast. They brought it out as we were leaving. Interesting observation was that no other customers sitting in our section had their food either so people were getting just as restless as we were.

First time here. Great diner atmosphere, great food, reasonable prices. I'll be back. Not a good place for a larger group, though

I went here 1 summer & it was AMAZING. I really like this place. It was clean, the food was really good, & everyone was really nice there. It was like eating your favorite food & talking to people you like. 😁😁😁

Expect a wait did to a small kitchen but it's worth it. Incredible diner breakfast food. The breakfast sandwiches are good size and most likely best bang for your buck in the menu. If you're really hungry the Dagwood Omelette or Biscuits and Gravy breakfast are good options. Out down your phone, enjoy your conversation while you wait, and enjoy. Best breakfast in KC
